So I have decided to use the Echo Lead even though it's a very staccato lead...

It's interesting seeing this evolve. Draft 2 is getting better. Draft 1 was too bipolar, the first minute was very dark and then it turned to sweetness and light. The culprit really was the guitar, which was pretty tough. I was a little concerned you had fallen in love with it, so I was glad to hear that it was gone in the latest version.
I think you still have a little work to do the meld the two sections together. The chord progressions are still very different. You start to deal with it around 2:30, so keep working with it.
The new drum groove goes a long way to making this electronic. The slow groove means it's not going to be dance music. You can experiment with tempi, or leave it as it.
